The British Show Pony Society was founded in 1949 to support and promote the showing of children's riding ponies. Over the years, this has grown to include Children's Riding Ponies, Show Hunter Ponies, Working Hunter Ponies and Mountain & Moorland Ponies.

At BSPS Wales, we're all about giving children and young riders the chance to get involved, have fun and enjoy their ponies. Throughout the year, we put on shows, training clinics and other events, giving members the opportunity to compete, learn new skills and progress, whatever their level.

We currently run two Winter Shows, including flat and working hunter classes, as well as our Spring Show, which has a range of qualifying classes for the major championships. You can find all the upcoming dates on our Shows & Events page.

Everything we do is made possible by our volunteer committee, who give up their time to organise and run our events. We're always grateful for any extra help, at whatever capacity on show days or in the lead up to them, or getting involved in other ways.

We also love seeing what our members get up to! If you've had success of any shape or size, send us your photos via our Facebook or Instagram. We're always happy to celebrate your successes with you.

And if you're a new or potential member of BSPS, you're very welcome! If there is anything you would like to know, please get in touch with one of our committee members. We'd be happy to help!
